This is a late blog, but I figured better late than never. A few weeks ago DeAndre aka DreRhymez needed some quick head shots for some upcoming shows so we got together and ended up with some great shots, you never would have known that this was a quick job from the results. Check out a few above and be sure to check out his music on his Myspace page. Watch out for him and Dean, they are both doing big things!

Surprise Birthday Party
As promised I am blogging more now! So over the weekend we attended Mario's surprise 30th Birthday party. Sarah, Mario's wife, planned it so Mario would be out golfing and when he got home (blindfolded) all of the guests would be there to celebrate his 30th birthday. As always I brought my camera, I wasn't as active with the photos this time but you can get an idea of the day from the pics above... it seems like the Yankee hulk hands and the sword that Katie had were the big attraction. Enjoy the pics of the arrival and a few shots from the party and if you know Mario wish him a Happy Birthday today, he is officially 30 now.... luckily I still have another year until I make it there...

Remembering a Lost Friend
Well I am trying to keep up with the blog more now and I wanted to take some time to remember a friend who was lost 2 years ago Sunday. For those who don't know the whole story behind the name G2C Designs, I will give you a quick rundown...
My friend Gabe, who I had gone to college with and he had helped me get my first job out of school, was battling cancer in the hospital and he had mentioned to me how he always wanted to start his own agency/ business. We had always joked about it in school and work but never really took it too seriously because as I am learning it is a lot of hard work and commitment. He was talking about when he got out of the hospital he was planning on taking some business classes and he had some clients lined up and he was all for it now. By now things had started to get worse and as strong as he was he didn't have a lot of fight left in him... but he had a LOT of fight in him! He arrived home and things started to take a turn for the worse and I never really got to see him too much to talk about the business or even plan on it, this was the same time we were planning a benefit art show for him with the help of Paier College of Art to help with medical expenses and to hopefully keep him fighting and to keep his spirits up. He was unable to keep fighting to plan the business out, name it or even make it to the Art Show but the show was a huge success and we know he was looking down at us with a big smile from the huge turnout from the show. Gabe had lost his battle on 7-26-07 a little after 5pm.
So after the Art Show I started to think about the business again, for some reason it just popped into my head, G2C, and of course as Gabe would have it, the G was first. So I went through the whole process of getting the LLC in 2008 and I am slowly but surely trying to build this to be the great business he would only allow! In April of 2008 G2C Designs, LLC was born, the abbreviation of Gabe 2 Chris, and I always look at it as he left it to me to make it successful.
Even though it has now been 2 years since he was lost there isn't a day I do not think about him and what we would be doing now (I am sure with his smooth talking we would probably be a top agency by now, but I have to do my best on my own).
There will probably never be a time that you will not see me with my "Everlasting Strength" bracelet on, its not a livestrong bracelet but is similar... This bracelet has a modified version of a logo Gabe was working on for his own website and the phrase Everlasting Strength on it to remember how strong he was during his battle, his life and just how he was as a person... those who knew him, know what I am talking about!
So if you are reading this blog for the first time you now have a little inside view of what is behind G2C Designs, for those of you who know the story or knew Gabe, please take this time and just remember him and how great he truly was.
R.I.P Gabe, we will always remember you!

The Show Team Orlando Performances

Well as promised I am adding some more blogs and spacing them out, well a little... but anyways here are a few pics from the main reason for our trip to Orlando, The Show Team performance group. The Show Team had performance set-up in downtown Disney as well as Universal Studios City walk. Both shows were slightly different, but they all did a great job and had a huge turnout in Downtown Disney, Universal had a good turnout but probably would have been a lot larger if it was at a later time, either way it was a great time for everyone! If you can't tell the top photo is from the Universal show, which included a Men in Black number and the bottom photo is from the Disney Show which started off with a number inspired by the movie Enchanted. All of the photos are online now and can be viewed at g2cphotos.com so please check them out when you have some time and see how great everything turned out.

Vacation

Well we have been back from vacation and I have been getting caught up with everything so the blogs have been slow. I have a few things to blog right now but I will space them out for you and keep you all in suspense, well both of you at least... So anyways we went down to my second home in Orlando (well at least it seems that way!) and of course we went to the usual places. This visit was a little different from the usual Orlando vacation, we were down there for the performances of The Show Team in Downtown Disney and Universal Citywalk (blog of that to follow).
This trip was great for us because we were able to bring a few people to Disney for their first visit... You can see one of the most excited first timers above, Sofie, she had her postcard pose ready for the camera in Epcot and she had a blast with all her new friends (and learned that she loves french fries with ketchup!). I also had to get Sofie a matching Dwight Howard Jersey for our day in Magic Kingdom...
We had been chosen to be a part of a few shows in the parks, thanks to Antoinette and Maria and their outgoing personalities, you can see one of the shows above when the girls were chosen to dance with the African Dancers in Animal Kingdom.
Well above are just a few of the hundreds of photos we took from the trip, everyone had a great time and of course no one can wait to go back! Stay tuned for more on The Show Team Performances...

Jordan & Kaetie E-Session

Well On Sunday the 14th we met up with Jordan, Kaetie and lets not forget about Maddie for their engagement session. There was rain predicted for the day but we got extremely lucky and the weather was perfect! They chose to take the shots at Hubbard Park which I had been to briefly to scout out the area but I had no idea the amount of potential the park had for great shots (other photographers take note)! Antoinette came along to help with posing and is also responsible for some of the great shots as well, so I have to thank her and give credit where it is due.
Jordan and Kaetie were extremely easy to work with and because of that we ended up with a LOT of photos, it was very hard to narrow down the selection. They also brought along another family member for the pics, Maddie, she was great too and worked out nicely in the photos... she had a few run-ins with some ducks but they knew not to mess with Maddie!
Well above are just a few pics from the day, we enjoyed the shoot and look forward to the big day in September!

Finals, Game 3
Well, back from Game 3 of the NBA finals, what an experience! I have been and Orlando Magic fan for a long time and always said if they ever made it I would find a way there... mission accomplished! They may be down 3-1 right now in the series but at least that 1 win was the game we were there for. Of course there were plenty of celebrities in the building, Tiger Woods, Spike Lee, Lil Wayne and Ludacris to name a few. I have high hopes that the Magic will make a comeback and take home the Championship, but right now they are not in a good situation... they have overcome a lot of bad games this post season so lets just hope they keep it up... Superman needs a ring!Above are a few pics from the game, Amway Arena instituted the new "no lense larger than a dollar bill" rule so I was not allowed to bring in my normal game time 70-200mm 2.8 lense, had to use the smaller 17-70 sigma for this one and almost got turned down for that one... oh well... Go Magic!
